The RS Aero won the 2019 World Sailing Equipment trials for the 2024 Olympic Men's and Women's One Person Dinghy Event scoring significantly higher than the Laser, Melges 14, and D-Zero.
The Evaluation Panel developed a scoring matrix against which the boats were scored with the results being the RS Aero scored 80%, Laser 69%, Melges 14 54% and the D-Zero 52%.
